Clinical Working Group Update The working group is still taking revisions on the DRAFT Use Case and will discuss these comments and revisions during the 11/9 meeting REMINDER: If you provide any comments and/or revisions please plan on attending the 11/9 Clinical WG to discuss with the working group members The Initiative Coordinator and Support Leads having been reaching out to SMEs to review the Use Case to ensure it meets the needs for all interested parties The working will fold in the finalized operations requirements, post the Use Case and begin the consensus voting process on 11/11 Two activities will be kicked off this week Clinical Information Model Concept to Codes Next Steps: Incorporate revisions to Use Case and post for consensus

Discussed specific operational requirements for the Expanded Analysis User Story to be included in the Use Case Discussed development of a Model Data Use Agreement Key Topics Covered/Discussed

Operations Workgroup Next Steps Next Steps –Finalize the operational requirements for the Expanded Analysis User Story and submit to the Use Case Team for inclusion in the Use Case –Hold a discussion with select Summer Concert Series presenters to identify work products that would be helpful –Develop Model Data Use Agreements –Brainstorm additional Policy Sandbox recommendations for pilots

Technical Workgroup F2F Next Technical WG F2F on 11/28 – 11/29/2011 Purpose: To solidify the details of the Query Health technical foundation and start creating a roadmap for recommending standards and creating a robust reference implementation. Scheduled for 11/29/2011 8am – 5pm 425, 3rd Street SW, Suite 600 Capitol View Building, Washington D.C Expect participants to fly in on 11/28, conference room available on 11/28/2011 in case we want to have any meetings.

Updates on last week’s activity Discussed the Transport Analysis Matrix briefly No real conclusions or decisions made based on the Transport Analysis Discussed a Query Health Technical Foundation Proof of Concept (POC) based on i2B2, hQuery and PopMedNet Met with representatives from the 3 organizations and discussed approach and got commitment to participate and help us start the Proof of Concept Goal is to get to a good solid state by 11/28/2011 Second POC proposed by volunteer member based on DIRECT

POC based on i2B2, hQuery and PopMedNet Key Observations: PMN Transport abstracts multiple query types very well.. i2B2 and hQuery demonstrate the required computational characterstics Maps to the abstract model very well

Next Steps Setup Sub teams for each POC Create the wiki structure, meeting times etc. Continue with the Query Analysis Understand the complexity in using code vs SQL vs XML vs other standards

Important Announcements Look for upcoming Clinical Workgroup activities Clinical Information Model (CIM) Clinical Concept Mapping Query Health Training - ONC All Grantees Meeting Query Health will be conducting a training session for ONC grantees at the ONC All Grantees Meeting on November 18 th in Washington DC Rich Elmore will be presenting from 10:30 – 12:00 PM for those who are attending Merideth Vida, Dragon Bashyam, and Alice Leiter will be assisting as co-presenters
