Our Comenius trip to Turkey.

We visited Anamur in Turkey.

The children met us at the Primary school.

This is Seher-the Head teacher.

We were taken on a visit around the school.

The children were using the abacus.

All the children were working from workbooks.

These children were learning English.

All the teachers made a marbling picture with the art teacher.

We visited a banana plantation and saw how the farmers grew the bananas.

We visited Anamur castle with the older children.

Turtles lay their eggs on this beach and they hatch in September.

There was a mosque in the middle of the castle.

We visited the ancient city ruins of Anemurium.

The older children made a powerpoint presentation about Anamur and Turkey.

Some children also sang us a song- ”What did the fox say?”

It was our turn to sing karaoke!

We saw Mr Mulkeen in the Turkish school.

We had a traditional school lunch.

The children had been learning about being healthy for our project “Health is the Real Wealth.”
