DAW  A digital audio workstation is a computer software for recording, editing and producing audio.

DAW 3 examples of different daw software 1.FL Studio – This programme is not cheap it is £ but can be used on iPod and this programme is very popular. 2.Sony Acid Pro - This is a multi-track audio recording tool but costs £99.95 and is very complex and not easy to use. 3.Pre-Sonus Studio One – This programme is simple and easy to use but £100.

How to Open Cubase  Start by pressing the start button,  Then all programmes,  Go to music,  And click on Cubase,  Click on more Then empty then create, This is a blank arranger window in Cubase to Create your music project.

What Is MIDI?  MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) a widely  used standard for interconnecting  electronic musical instruments  Computers.

How to set up an MIDI interface This lead connects a MIDI keyboard to a MIDI interface. This lead connects the MIDI interface to a computer. This connects the speakers to a MIDI interface.

How Would You Use MIDI?  Using simple desktop software called a  sequencer, professionals and amateurs can use  MIDI to record and edit multiple tracks of  electronic music.

What benefits of midi?  Good Things File sizes are smaller, All aspects of the sound can be edited, Effects can be applied to individual instruments,  Not So Good Things Dependent on quality of sound card for overall sound, Can not store vocals, Effects are limited,

Setting up a midi track  To add a MIDI track you first right click the dark gray and click add MIDI track  Then click No VST Instrument, synth, and prologue  Then Make sure all MIDI inputs is enabled  The you are ready to record your MIDI  Instrument
