V. Kamerdzhiev for BBC teamAPD meeting, May 30, Study plan BBCompensation during scraping Both TELs simultaneously on one bunch TEL1 tune shift vs TEV tune change Increase e-beam size Study the effects on emittance growth Bunch length vs lifetime improvement Losses and Schottky power vs e-noise

V. Kamerdzhiev for BBC teamAPD meeting, May 30, Summary We used TEL1 for beam-beam compensation of a single proton bunch. Repeatable lifetime improvement in the range of 15-65% has been demonstrated Position scans suggest no harmful effects of horizontally displaced e-beam on protons (preliminary) Based on the latest data we decided NOT to upgrade TEL1 magnetic system
