TM/WSP 5-9 Nov Group C1- Regulatory framework - Nuclear safety - Radiation protection - Security and physical protection QUESTIONS / DIFFICULTIES  How the independence of Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body is achieved? What must be the level of independency?  How can the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body be independent if report to the Government?  What level of authorities must have the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body?  How should the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body activities be financed in order to assure independence?  Should the regulatory framework be the same, consequent and consistent on the period on the nuclear power program implementation?

TM/WSP 5-9 Nov Group C1- Regulatory framework - Nuclear safety - Radiation protection - Security and physical protection QUESTIONS / DIFFICULTIES  What kind of activities cover the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body for NPP and for others nuclear applications (medicine, industrial application, etc)?  What are the interfaces of Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body with other Regulatory Bodies (regulatory for electricity prices, pressure vessel, environmental protection etc.)?  How will the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body from developing country develop and hire the necessarily experience at the beginning of the nuclear power program in a country with very little experience?  What international support for the training of new Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body from the developing country can be obtained?

TM/WSP 5-9 Nov Group C1- Regulatory framework - Nuclear safety - Radiation protection - Security and physical protection QUESTIONS / DIFFICULTIES  What will be the responsibilities of the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body for the NPP operation team licensing? How these responsibilities are split with the NPP owner which has responsibilities for operating personnel training?  Could IAEA provide consultancy services (technical support) to assist developing country for the implementing Nuclear Safety Regulatory Body organization?
