 Place additional orders using order codes

 Order codes

 On Clinic Status screen, place cursor in command field next to patient name  Access Visit Documentation screen by clicking Out The Door button  In addition, to order entry process using problem-focused Visit Orders screen MedTrak allows placing orders using order codes  Order codes can be faster than locating desired order using order entry screen

 Order codes-names created by physician for common orders  Can be up to 10 characters in length  Restriction is that it be unique  Each physician can create their own  Figure 13-2 shows example  Enter order code in first field of Orders section on Visit Documentation screen  Press Enter key to process order code  Next screen to appear is Order by Code screen which order code appearing in Code field  To confirm order click Submit button.  Order by Code screen refreshes displaying order in order list and message of order placed  You can continue and enter additional order codes or select order codes from Order Code: Select screen
