API 16F API 16 F – Specification for Marine Drilling Riser Equipment First Edition, August 2004

API 16F Status Currently working on rewriting the entire document. Estimated date for complete document to go to ballot 4th quarter of 2015 Currently two addendums closed ballot on June 11 2014. Currently working on another addendum to address section 10 drape hose and jumper line issue. Currently all hoses and jumper lines go to API 16C.

API 16F Addendum Addendum is to clarify two API 16F sections Section 7 Remove reference to the tensioning foundation in API 16F. Ballot closed on June 11, 2014 Ballot passed with 13 yes, 1 no, 1 abstain, 4 didn’t vote. There are 3 comments that need to be addressed.

API 16F Section 14 Current API 16F stated riser running equipment to be designed and tested per API 8C. Addendum remove riser running equipment from API 8C and put all design for riser running equipment into API 16F. Ballot closed June 11, 2014. Ballot passed with 14 yes, 0 no, 2 abstain, 3 didn’t vote. 32 comments that need to be addressed.
