HIS LIFE Atatürk was born in Thessaloniki on 19 th of May 1881 and died in İstanbul, Dolmabahe Palace on 10 th of November His mother was Zübeyde Hanım and his father was named Ali Riza Efendi. Only one of Atatürk's siblings, a sister named Makbule survived childhood; she died in 1956.
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was an Ottoman and Turkish army officer, revolutionary statesman, writer, and the first President of Turkey. He is the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
IF HE WAS’NT THERE We wouldn’t use the Latin alphabet. Women wouldn’t go to school and go outside. There wouldn’t be a republic of Turkey.
WHAT HE LIKED… Atatürk liked to swim, to read, to dance, listening music and riding horse. He knew French and German. He had a dog called Fox.
Now he is in his grave at Ankara, called Anıtkabir
