CHS KnitWits

CHS KnitWits! Purpose: To spread the joy of creating beautiful, useful items for ourselves and others and to develop community through working towards a common purpose. (Also it’s fun!) Meetings: Club Days 4 th block and First Lunch every Friday.

Dues: Purchase your own set of size 7 double- pointed needles OR a size H crochet hook. $5 each semester to purchase yarn for the community service projects. To secure your membership, show me your needles/hook by Friday, September 27. Pay your $5 before next month’s club day meeting. Community Service: Knit one adult hat per six weeks or 2 newborn hats per six weeks. Yarn and pattern will be provided (After we purchase yarn).

Recommendation: If you are serious about developing your skills, I recommend signing up on Ravelry, a free resource site for knitting and crochet that includes a pattern database, a notebook to keep track of projects, and the ability to communicate with knitters and crocheters in your community and around the world.
