Reception Autumn Term 2013

Our Topic was Scrumptious Food.

We went on a visit to Carmarthen market.

Thank you John and Iona for showing us lots of healthy fruits and vegetables.

We went shopping and bought an apple. It cost 20 pence.

We turned our role play area into a shop and practised lots of money work.

We practised counting and making sets using 1pennies.

Mrs Edwards came in to talk to us about cleaning our teeth. She showed us healthy foods to eat.

Our favourite story for this topic has been The Giant Sandwich.

We have had lots of fun using our sense of taste to try different fruits. I’m sure you can tell which ones we liked…

We then made a pictogram of our favourite fruit and practised some more welsh from the story of Tedi Twt.

We designed a healthy sandwich.

Then we made a shopping list for Miss Cogan.

After we had lots of fun making our sandwiches Then we took them home to eat. Can you remember the order of how to make a healthy sandwich?

We now understand how to keep ourselves fit and healthy. We give thanks to God for all our scrumptious food.
