What is Model United Nations? AKA M.U.N or Model U.N.

 Hundred of thousands of High Schools across the country participate in MUN.  It’s a club at an international level, and expands further than just Middle and High Schools to Universities. MUN is

 Students typically role-play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees.  As a team we compete in various conferences throughout the year (ex. OCMUN, FIMUN, etc…).  At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an award certificate.  The Best Delegate in each committee, however, receives a gavel.  In order to insure that certain tasks are taken care of, the United Nations organizes into committees and councils that tackle specific topics.  Here at M.U.N., we model their behavior! Committees

 Community Service Committee  Officer: Samantha Donahue  Maintains documents and attendance related to community service projects done through the club  Bulletin Board Committee  Officer: Tiffany del Valle  Maintains educational and timely Club Bulletin Boards regarding United Nations holidays & topics Committees
