Summary of IFAE analysis of Crab and Mrk421 for February & March 2004Udine bootcamp, 19th-22nd April Mispointing correction The mispointing is measured from ZetaTau or UMa51 runs using DC’s and/or pedestal RMS’s The absolute value is considered constant and the position rotated using formulae from TDAS in a run by run basis using the  and  values from the run books

Summary of IFAE analysis of Crab and Mrk421 for February & March 2004Udine bootcamp, 19th-22nd April Discussion FEBRUARY DATA (θ~30°, size > 2000 ADC cnts) Rate p = 1.17, rate  = 0.1 Hz  Do not fit any energy threshold from MC MARCH DATA (θ~30°, size > 2000 ADC cnts) Increase of CR rate after cleaning in 50% Increase of CR after cuts in 50% Increase of  after cuts increased much more: 330% Cut on size>2000 ADC counts would correspond to 1000 ADC counts from MC (~300phe)  that would mean E  th = 83 GeV BUT, rate of p is 1.5 less than expected at 83 Gev (~2 Hz). Also rate of  is lower. Both point towards a threshold 83 GeV < E  th < 150 GeV (at θ~30°)

Summary of IFAE analysis of Crab and Mrk421 for February & March 2004Udine bootcamp, 19th-22nd April Prospects Understand deeper our analysis: –Why the inclusion of outer pixels decreases the sensitivity? –Does it improve with the calibration? –How do Hillas parameters change in March? –Can we optimize cuts for March data? Lower down the threshold to 1000 ADC –optimize cuts for different size bins Understand the evolution of the source position –Use measured position when possible (Mrk421)  Javi López’s presentation –Unfold the FOV rotation to understand other effects
