Writing with Dr Hoffman’s learn and revise | instructions | magic map | website |instructionsmagic map website for GCSE MAGIC MAPSMAGIC MAPS

MAGIC MAPS explained: We start from the main topic which is in the centre of the page. As you keep clicking, thick branches with all the subtopics will appear in the picture. Then, one by one, details associated with the subtopics will ‘grow’ out of each thick branch. When revising First keep clicking until you have the complete map; looking at the first branch family (thick branch with all its thin branches), ‘read’ the information, putting the key words into complete sentences as if you were writing a paragraph. Do the same with all the remaining branches; Speak out aloud so that you will see the words, hear them and use your body (mouth and vocal cords). It can help to do this with a friend or a willing family member; if nobody is available, you can sit your pet down and talk to him! When testing yourself Keep clicking until you have all the subtopics in place. Before you click to expand the first branch, think about everything you can remember about it and say it aloud. Only then click to ‘grow’ your map and compare your answer with the key words on the thin branches. Do the same with all other branches. MAGIC MAPS are truly magical! They a brilliant for teaching, learning, revising for exams and testing yourself. How to use MAGIC MAPS Invent your own ways of revising and testing yourself with MAGIC MAPS, and tell us about them! Whatever works for you is a good idea and we would like to share it on our website. | magic map | website |magic map website
