Possessive Nouns and Pronouns

Possessive Nouns  A possessive noun shows who or what owns something.

Rules Noun ends in letter other than “s”.  Add an apostrophe and an “s”  The man’s car is here.  The school’s gym is big.  Jack’s hair is brown. Noun ends in “s”  Simply add an apostrophe after the “s”  Mr. Jones’ house is small.  The students’ work was good.  Moses’ staff was used to open the water for the Israelites.
