THE ADELPHEAN SOCIETY Originally founded in 1851 by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. The Adelphean Society would later be known as Alpha Delta Phi, and it 1901 changed permanently to Alpha Delta Pi. The icons set by our founders are still in tact today: Mascot: Alphie the Lion Colors: Azul Blue & White Flower: Violet Motto: “We Live For Each Other”
SORORITY LIFE Queens College founded 6 of it’s own sororities which were later changed into National Panhellenic Council sororities: February, Chi Omega (Theta Alpha Pi) October, Kappa Delta (Zeta Kappa Gamma) September, Phi Mu (Sigma Delta) May, Alpha Gamma Delta (Phi Delta Chi) February, Alpha Delta Pi (Chi Sigma Alpha) April, Alpha Delta Theta (Kappa Kappa Chi)
BETA IOTA CHAPTER Alpha Delta Pi at Queens College was chartered in It was the 5 th sorority founded as a NPC chapter at Queens. Anne Garrard, Alpha Province president led initiation on the 6 th of February. The initiates included: Dorothy Edmunson, Edith Storm, Ellen Hawkins, June Tured, Virginia Hawkins, Rachael Kornegay, Nettie Wearn, Dorothy Brown, Dorothy Hodges, Douglass Rankin, and Evelyn Koonce. Original house was built in Queens Lodge was built in Greek Village was built in 2012.
