Educational Camp

Purpose of educational camp To disseminate knowledge about fight against doping among junior ambassadors To improve and consolidate ambassadors presentation and communication skills To prepare informational materials (handbooks)

Educational camp Date: Between Sunday, 31 st of May and Friday, 5 th of June 2015 Location: Slovenian coast Duration: 5 days

Content and program of educational camp Prepared by project team all partner countries actively participate in the preparation and implementation of the camp The program has to incorporate: Theoretical lectures Practical workshops Implementation will be divided among partners

Content of educational camp Lectures about basic anti-doping knowledge (as stated in Article 18. of the Code): Substances and method on Prohibited list Anti-Doping rule violations Consequences of doping, including sanctions, health and social consequences Doping control procedures Athletes‘ and athlete support personnel‘s rights and responsibilities TUEs Managing the risks of nutritional supplements Harm of doping to the spirit of sport Applicable whereabouts requirements

Content of educational camp Beside „anti-doping“ lectures also lectures about: Psychological aspects of drug abuse Ethical aspects of drug abuse Philosophical aspects of drug abuse

Content of educational camp Practical workshops to incorporate anti-doping topics and skills that ambassadors need: Communication Management Group management Etc.

Content of educational camp Different programs for prevention and awareness- raising activities targeting different target groups (for example): Games with ethical content for children Mobile games and prePLAY quiz for adolescents Lectures for athletes and their support personnel Informational materials for general public Etc.

Content of educational camp Ambassadors will also have an opportunity to create their own methods of spreading the knowledge: They will be able to use them in their work with participants on grassroots level of sport With this methods they will help learners to gain as much knowledge as possible
