Creation story Creation story Born a prince, the Buddha (then Siddhartha Gautama) ventured outside the walls of the palace and saw 4 what became known as the 4 sights(an old man, a sick man, a corpse, and a holy man who appeared to be at peace) which inspired him to seek peace. He eventually decided to sit in meditation until he was enlightened which he did and spent his whole life professing his learning's.

Major Beliefs Cont. How is one saved The closest thing in Buddhism to being saved is achieving nirvana which is essentially being free from suffering. This can be done by extensive meditating.
