Utopia and Dystopia

Utopia an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect. The word was first used in the book Utopia (1516) by Sir Thomas More about a fictional island society.

Journal Write about 10 sentences describing a utopian society – a place that is perfect for everyone. What rules might be needed? What would you guarantee each individual that would make everyone feel content and happy? What would you provide that is lacking in this world?
