Establish the context Establish the context Establish the strategic, organisational context in which the whole process will take place. Define the criteria that the knowledge will be evaluated against.

Establish the context Set objectives Set objectives What are the organisation’s knowledge objectives and how do they relate to the organisation’s mission. Eg. Where does it fit in the business/operational plan?

Establish the context Set objectives Identify the Knowledge required Contextual Context depicts the environment surrounding the information both in its use and source.

Process Identify the Knowledge required ContextualSources This is the process for gaining the knowledge and distributing it to those requiring the information.

Process Plan Collect Assess Disseminate Plan: What knowledge is required; who can provide it; when is it needed by; what form is it required in. Collect: the sub process of gaining that knowledge in a timely manner for the tasked sources. Assess : in terms of Context, Integrity and Life expectancy. Disseminate : to the ultimate customer in the most suitable form.
