© OECD/IEA – 2009 The IEA has already made some small changes in its terminology (energy sector becomes energy industry own use, etc.) The harmonised definitions constitute the basis of the definitions proposed in Chapter 3 and Chapter 5 of the IRES Manual APEC has harmonised its questionnaire with Eurostat, IEA, UNECE Already a wide impact of InterEnerStat

A need to re-circulate the revised defintions to all the participating organisations Harmonisation of all the questionnaires, common training material, common training sessions are some examples of what could be next in terms of cooperation Enormous challenge. Active participation and great commitment from 20+ organisations. Experience and hard work from the consultant. Cooperation and willingness were and are keys for InterEnerStat and for strengthening international energy statistics. Thank you
