NANOTECHNOLOGIES

Nanotechnologies The area of fundamental and applied science and equipment dealing with set of theoretical justification, practical methods of research, the analysis and synthesis, and also methods of production and application of products with the set nuclear structure by a controlled manipulation separate atoms and molecules.

Screens with high resolution The image on the screen of the computer is transferred by pixels – tiny points. Because of quantity of such points, but not from their size or a form, quality of the image depends. If to increase number of pixels on traditional monitors, it is automatically necessary to increase and the size of the screen, the Leading producers are just occupied with that screens of the big sizes sell to the consumer. Understanding prospects of use of nanopixels, researchers from the Oxford university thought up a way how to create pixels in some hundreds of nanometers in the diameter. During experiment when scientists clamped some layers between transparent electrodes, 300 by 300 nanometers everyone, the material GST as pixel, received the quality image and high contrast. Nanopixels thanks to the tiny sizes will be much more practical traditional and there can be a basis of development of optical technologies, for example, clever points, an artificial retina and the folding screen. Besides, nanotechnologies aren't energy-intensive as are capable to update only part of the screen for transfer of the image, on what less energy is required.

Paint which is capable to change color Experimenting gold nanoparticles, scientists of the Californian university noticed that at extension or tightening color of a gold thread from bright blue to violet and red wonderfully changes. The idea to create special sensors from gold nanoparticles for indication of certain processes which will influence one way or another particles came to their mind. For example, if to install the similar sensor on furniture, it will be possible to define, the person sits or sleeps. To create such sensors scientists added gold nanoparticles to a plastic film. While influenced a film, it stretched, and nanoparticles of gold changed color. By easy pressing the sensor became violet, and at strong – red. Silver particles, for example, too are capable to change color, but for the yellow. Such sensors, despite use of precious metals, won't be expensive as their size it is insignificant is small.
