Living Green My thesis is to make oil rigs better, stronger and studier. To make the oil rigs hold oil in a more stable place. So there is less water pollution.

Reason #1 It damages human health.

Facts It can cause brain damage. We could get mercury poisoning. It can cause paralyzation.

Reason #2 It hurts fish and underwater plants and animals.

Facts Lots of toxic chemicals in big fish. Small amounts of chemicals accumulate in small organisms. Small amounts can cause damage to all living creatures under water.

Reason #3 It contaminates the water.

The oil spills contaminate the water. Sulfuric acid is getting into the ocean because of the mining and from the waste from the smelters. The medical drugs getting drained into the ocean and small ponds contaminates the water. Facts
