Semantic Web The idea to revisit Semantic Web as DS topic came up during the Chiang Mai meetings and Suresh willingly adopted it. Since then we had 4 telecons on the subject with the goal of building knowledge about Earth Science ontologies, learn about communities who use the technology and how to build ontologies. Created a website with introductory material at Learned about projects - M3GO (CCRS), SWEET (JPL), UK Met Office and GEON Learned about Ontology building tools (e.g. Protege) OWL and RDF were approved by W3C Next step: Apply it to WGISS
