 IEP gathering is like leaving to court examine your IEP team  People react to their preparation  DO YOUR HOMEWORK  Don’t recognize this: “we have to agree to disagree”  IEP meeting is a cooperation process Train the IEP team regarding your child Can be recorded with prior notice.  LD:  Perspective  Become own expert  Be an advocate of your child  Influence should be greater than all others

 ID:  Make a difference in student’s life  Active member of IEP team  Provide accommodation and support  Go step by step/be concrete  Social aspects  Communication with parents

 EBD:  Get to know your student  Create rules for classroom  Be positive  Lean on your team

 Hence, for any teacher who teaches students with disabilities it would preferable for her to be a member of the IEP team as well as have solid information about ID, EBD as well as LD.
