What the heck does Http Mean? Hyper Text Transfer Protocol? Sounds like an insurance from term? JK It is used to send and receive web pages and files on the internet. HTTP is kind of like part of an address, like the street number or the zip code!HTTP is kind of like part of an address, like the street number or the zip code! https is another protocol. The S means it is more secure, you won’t see bad stuff.

WWW is an acronym for WORLD WIDE WEB! Computers that are connected all over the wide, wide world!

A LAN, a LAN, what is a LAN? Local Area Network LAN is all of the computers connected in a local place. This would be like your home. Or a school. The KPS network is a lan. It is all of the computers in all of the schools that are connected. Each school system has a LAN.

WAN??? WAN? Wide area network! 1.A WAN has a higher speed. 2.Printers cannot be shared on a WAN. 3.A WAN has a more expensive set-up. T-1 or Fiber Optic Cable is necessary. 4.It might be confined to a geographical location or a country. 5.The internet is an example of a WAN.
