Are You Sharing Your Faith? Mark 16:1-8

Will anybody be in heaven because of you?

What keeps me from sharing my faith with others?

A “Young Man” Shares Good News: 1.About the Past – He is Not Here! (v. 6) 2.About the Present – Christ is Alive! (v. 7) 3.About the Future – It is Your Turn to Share! (v. 8)

DISCUSSION GUIDE 2.What do you think that these women expected to see when they entered the tomb? What does this tell us about their devotion to Jesus?

DISCUSSION GUIDE 3.What one thing did they worry about as they walked to Jesus’ tomb? (Mark 16:2) The women were wondering who would roll the stone away from the entrance to the tomb.

DISCUSSION GUIDE 4.What did the women discover when they arrived at the tomb? (Mark 16:3-5) When they arrived the women discovered that the stone had been rolled away and that the tomb was empty, with the exception of an unknown young man dressed in white.

DISCUSSION GUIDE 7.What message did the man share? (Mark 16:6) The young man essentially said, “I know you are looking for Jesus. He is not here. He is alive again!”

DISCUSSION GUIDE 8.What does this passage tell us about the symbolism of baptism?

DISCUSSION GUIDE 9.What instructions did the young man have for the women? (Mark 16:7) The young man told the women to go and tell the disciples and Peter that Jesus was going ahead of them into Galilee.

Lord, from this moment forward, I pray that you will give me a burden and concern for people who do not yet know you. Help me to see them as you do. Help me to care enough to share your gospel with them. Give me that burden for the lost like you and the apostle Paul and Nehemiah had. Lord, I admit that at times I am afraid to step out. Please give me a new boldness to do that. I thank you in advance, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. Greg Laurie
