Think Tac Toe - Vocabulary. Create a Word Map/Vocab Square for each of the 10 words. Create a comic strip using the 10 words from the unit. The strip must include pictures and speech bubbles. Context must show you understand the meaning of the words. (Not graded on art skills.) Create a crossword puzzle using definitions, synonyms, or antonyms of the 10 words. Use graph paper to create the crossword, or you may use puzzlemaker.com Write a poem, song, or rap including the 10 words. Demonstrate your knowledge of the meaning of the words through your lyrics. Complete a word pyramid for each of the 10 words. Design a card game or board game that uses all 10 words, definitions, parts of speech, and correct spellings. Include directions for how to play. Using all 10 words, write a one-page short story. Use context clues, or clues within the sentences, that show you understand the meaning of each vocabulary word. Create a foldable with each of the 10 words, the part of speech, the definition in your own words, a picture or example, and a sentence correctly using the word. Create flashcards for each of the 10 words with the word on one side and the definition and part of speech on the other side. Directions: Below are some really fun ways to practice and learn vocabulary. You will complete one activity per set of vocabulary terms I have provided for chapters of The Wave. Therefore you will complete one activity for chapters 10-12, 13-15, and (three activities total). You will choose 10 words from each list of vocabulary terms to complete the activities (you will use 30 words total, 10 per activity). All activities will be submitted together by Monday December 7 th.
