Magneto Magneto is a coil that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy using induced magnetic field.

How does a magneto works? A magneto is similar to the electrical generator. When ever the coil is rotated magnets around the coil produces some induced magnetic waves and because of this process an Electromotive force is produced in it.

Why a magneto is used? Magneto coil is used in order to produce low voltage current that can be stored in the battery and as well as that can be used for ignition system for sparkling.

Applications It is used in: Small aeroplanes, Bikes, Cycle dynamos, etc.
