ELA 7 Unit 1 Project Design your car!

Car Design Project LA7 – TASK: In this project you will be working in teams to design a car and write about the process. You will also be presenting your car design to the class as a team.

Requirements 1.Every team member must have a job to do and a voice in the design process. 2.TAKE NOTES as you work so you will have evidence for your essay 3.Every team member must be able to explain all aspects of the design and WHY each part was designed that way. 4.Every team member MUST speak during the oral presentation. 5.Each team member MUST complete a descriptive essay explaining HOW the car was designed.

Part 2 – Research Questions Answer the following questions as a team: How do car designers work together to create a concept car? What are the different jobs that are needed to create a complete concept car? Write 5 questions that you will need to answer about the actual car design in order to create an entire car. What research will you do to create your car? What drawing materials will your team need to complete the process?

Your Assignment YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Begin working on your car design. Assign jobs and create a list of steps that your team will take in order to complete the project in a timely manner. Then, your team will present their design to the class. At the end of the process, write a multi paragraph explanatory article explaining the steps your team took to design the car and how the team worked on the final outcome.
