Prime Related Properties 12 Month Safety Program Results September 19,2007

Topic Review In the past 11 months we reviewed the following topics: Walking Surfaces, Lighting, Worker Safety, Electrical Safety, Preventing Falls, Hand Tools, Stairs, Ladder Safety, Pools, Lifting Procedures, Blood Borne Pathogens Does Safety Matter?

Worker Compensation Results In the two years leading up to October 2006 the Prime Related entities averaged 31 work related incidents per quarter. In the three quarters since the implementation of the monthly safety topics in October 2006 the quarterly average has dropped to % reduction in work related incidents

Workers Compensation Results By Type of Property  Hotels Down 43.43%  Apartments Down 41.88%  Commercial Down 33.33% Great Results Across the Board!!!!!

Focus for the Next 12 Months Continue to work safely!  Your efforts have had a great impact on the overall program including employee safety and morale as well as insurance premiums Continue to pay attention to what you are doing, how you are doing it, your surroundings and other employees

General Liability Remember, General Liability incidents are incidents that happen to outside parties; such as guests, tenants and/or visitors. These can be anything from a slip and fall to an assault to fall down stairs to theft, etc.

General Liability Results In the two years leading up to October 2006 the Prime Related entities averaged 48 general liability type of incidents per quarter. In the three quarters since the implementation of the monthly safety topics in October 2006 the quarterly average has increased to % increase in general liability incidents

General Liability Results By Type of Property  Hotels Down 2.82%  Apartments Up 10.99%  Commercial Up 41.56% This appears to be an area where we need to devote a little extra effort !!!

General Liability – Type of Incidents In reviewing the total incidents, the following types of incidents are the most common:  Premise Liability %  Auto Related %  Falls on Property %  Slips and Falls % * Premise liability is a miscellaneous category for incidents that are not otherwise specifically categorized. Auto Related usually has to do with vehicle damage, break-ins, vandalism, etc.

Focus for the Next 12 Months General Liability  Duty – we have a duty to provide a reasonably safe and secure environment  Please take time to evaluate your area for possible improvements. We all get in to a habit of getting from point A to B and rarely take the time to really view our surroundings with an eye towards improvement. Take the time to look are your areas with a critical eye for improvement.

Focus for the Next 12 Months General Liability (cont.)  Your efforts greatly impact how your property is seen by the general public. Is it:  Clean,  Safe,  A place where you would feel safe having your kids play? If not then what can you do to help?
