Forensic psychology is a specialty area that deals with issues that involve psychology and the law.

Who are they?  Forensic psychologist are often depicted as criminal profilers.  Evaluate or assess people within the legal system.  They analyze and examine the psychology of the mind associated with different forms of criminal activity.

Where do they work?  Correctional Facilities  Prisons  Jails  Hospitals  Mental Health Centers  Specialized Agencies  Non-Profit Centers  Private Practice

Do they treat patients?  YES, they can!  Appointed by court  Report findings to court - Family court -Civil court -Criminal court

What degree is required?  Masters Degree is required  Ph. D. preferable
