On the Moon Vocabulary

Vocabulary word: surface In the next few slides, you will see pictures of different surfaces. As you look at the pictures and read the sentences, see if you can come up with a definition of surface.

The surface of this area of land is made of dry, cracked dirt.

Many Aloe Vera plants are growing on the surface of this land.

The surface of the water has many ripples and small waves.

Think about the pictures you just saw. What do you think the word surface means?
