Definition of Thuwar Our definition of Thuwar: “Those who fought in the front lines, defended cities and borders, and political prisoners”

Mission Support former Thuwar to (re)integrate into their communities Plan and establish programmes for rehabilitation, training, education, job placements and business start-up support (SMEs) Coordinate and supervise programme implementation, and monitor effectiveness

Objectives Empower former Thuwar economically through their involvement in the creation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Targets 67,000 former Thuwar over 3 years; 8,000 SMEs to be created Progress to date Selection of 60 former Thuwar to be trained as SME advisors and trainers Partnership agreement with the IDB to supervise and provide technical expertise to the programme Mapping of economic opportunities in all regions and sectors completed, in partnership with the Libyan Economic Research Centre Economic Reintegration Programme: SME (Tumuh) Project
