Review the Grade Level Standards - Pick one standard you will follow all the way across the page. - With your elbow partner: highlight the “bump ups” you see from grade to grade. - Share your observations with your table. - Share one thing you noticed with the whole group.

Let’s take a look at the Speaking & Listening standards in action.

Turn and Talk… What kinds of structures need to be in place in order for this type of activity to be successful?

Think about your own classroom. With your table group, brainstorm a list of activities you already do that help you meet these standards. What else could you add?
