VOLUNTEERS FROM MISKOLC

Cinder team  We have a spiritual retreat before Christmas and Easter  In the school it’s a compulsory program  Some students volunteer to be peer leaders in this program  They learn how to be good leaders in a retreat in preparation trainings  The group leaders make up the Cinder Team

A.V.I.K. (Youth Training Program)  Mentor training–group for teenagers  5 catholic school’s corporation  We’re the first group of this training  We come together 5 times a year

Fráter György High School  To facilitate a spiritual retreat in a different school  Students from our school were the leaders  It was a great experience for the students of Frater high school as they could talk in small groups with peer leaders instead of listening to long boring adult talks Real challenge:

○ To help Fráter Gy. High School to establish a new tradition of spiritual retreats ○ To introduce a system; two retreats per year and small group talks ○ To help the students to deepen their faith Aims of the program:

Kossuth Lajos High School: A New Challenge  It’s a Lutheran school  Retreat there on a silence day  We worked with the 9th graders  We used the same kind of program just like in the Fráter Gy. School  We organised the whole event without any teacher support

○ „ I expected less, but I got more” ○ „I learned so much from the story” ○ „We don’t have so much chance to talk, but now we could” ○ „The leaders could resolve the tension, they were friendly and honest” ○ „It was good that they were at the same age” ○ „This retreat was the best part of the silence day, I’d like to meet the leaders again” Student’s Feedbacks:
