Presentation transcript:

You have already learned different types of angles. Right angle Acute angle

Right Triangle- one right angle

Obtuse Triangle- one angle greater than a right angle

Acute Triangle- three angles less than a right angle

Right Triangle

Acute Triangle

Right Triangle

Obtuse Triangle

1. Understanding different types of triangles will help you with passing the district and state test. 2. If you want to get a job as a builder you need to know the different types of triangles that would work for different structures

Steps: 1. Look at the triangle. 2. Ask does this triangle make a right angle? (if yes then you have a right triangle, if no continue) 3. Ask is the triangle smaller or bigger than a right triangle? If smaller than you have an acute triangle, if bigger than you have an obtuse triangle.

Problems on the board

Obtuse Triangle

Acute Triangle

Right Triangle

1. What was our objective for the day? 2. Why is it important to learn about different triangles? 3. What is this triangle called?
