Solve multi-step problems using a calculator Apply calculation techniques

First, be amazed… O Choose any three digit number, but each of the digits must be the same. O For example: 222 or 444

Now O Add up all of the digits.

Then O Divide the original three digit number you thought of by the total of the digits you added up.

Guess what? The answer is 37

How did I know?

Watch This: O = 9 O 333 divided by 9 = 37. O = 24 O 888 divided by 24 = 37 O The answer will always be 37!

Backchat - Calculators can make words as well as numbers. Turn it upside-down to read these! O x 7 = x 2 = O x 4 = x 3 = O x 3 = = O = = O = = O = – = O = = Calculator Fun!

Extension – Work out the calculations – choose the letter from a scrabble set, or laminated set of letters to crack the code! O 1 57 ÷ 3 / / 66 ÷ 3 / 31 – 9 / 456 – 437 / 3 x 10/ 138÷÷ 6 / 800 ÷ 100 / 12 – 6 / 930 – 911 / 89 – 47 O / 128 ÷ 16 / 104 – 98 / 361 ÷ 19 / 126÷ 3 96 ÷ 12 / 11 x ÷ 4 / 373 – 365 / 408 ÷24 / 644 – 631 / 800 ÷ 100 / 306 ÷ 18 O – 89 / 736 ÷ 32 / 9 x 2 / 529÷ 23 / 11 x 4 / 388 – 369 / 34 – 26 / 596 – 574 / 6 x 5 / 399 – 311 / 196 ÷ 14 / 784 – 765 / / 276 ÷ 12 / 188 – 145
