The Sahara Desert The Sahara Desert, covering most of North Africa, is the largest desert in the world.

Over 25 percent of the Sahara's surface is covered by sand sheets and dunes( 沙丘 ).

Though it is dry and hot there, some plants and animals can still be found.

On the whole, the Sahara is one of the harshest environments known to man.

The River Nile (6695km) It is considered the longest river in the world.

"Egypt is the gift of the River Nile."

Kenya Kenya lies on the eastern coast of Africa. It covers an area of about 586,600sq km.

There are many different landscapes and cultures in Kenya, all quite different and beautiful.

Mount Kilimanjaro Mount Kilimanjaro stands on the northern boundary of Tanzania.

It is made up of three dead volcanoes.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is a must-do challenge for almost every mountaineer in the world.
