The 1760 Boston Fire

This important event was the Great Boston Fire

This horrible accident happened in Boston, Massachusetts

This tragedy happened on March 20 th 1760

There is no actual reason why the fire started. It was an accident, but back then in Boston small fires were part of everyday life.

No specific people were identified, but there was many people involved since 349 buildings were distroyed.

A small joiner’s shop caught fire and spread to a connecting shop, then a strong gust of wind blew the flames and scattered them.
