Examining Personal Computers What is a computer network?  A computer network consists of two ot more computers and other devices that are connected for the purpose of sharing data and programs What is LAN stands for?  Local Area Network: a computer network that is located within a limited geographical area. 4

Examining Personal Computers My computer is connected to the Internet, so is my computer on a network?  Technically, yes; however, being connected to the Internet is not the same as being on a LAN. What is Internet?  Is the largest network in the world. 5
