Marshalling Points (15 minutes before start time) Green Group (Lower numbered small boats): 1. Arrive in area marked by green flags, approx 500m downstream of the start 2. Face towards the start/lock gates 3. Line up in reverse order (higher numbers closer to start) in location allocated by marshall 4. Maintain allocated position close to city bank to allow other boats room to pass Start/timing line “Start” Acceleration point “Wind Up / GO!” Lock Gates Arriving crews keep to centre of canal NO OVERTAKING! All crews must be in their allocated zone AND position 15 minutes before the start. Time penalties apply for latecomers, who may also be sent to the end of the orange zone and set off behind all other boats. EIGHTS - Orange Group: 1.Arrive in area marked by orange flags – approx 600m from lock gates 2. Spin as directed by marshalls 3.Line up in order – higher numbers closer to lock gates 4. Maintain allocated position close to city bank to allow other boats room to pass Red Group (Higher numbered small boats) 1. Arrive in area marked by red flags, just before last bend on canal 2.
