For education and learning Main Goals on the LEO-project There are better possibilities to recognize giftedness and talent in schools and kindergartens by teachers. 2.Develop instruction and other activities in schools so it will support better gifted and talented children. Production of supporting materials for teachers. 3.Give information for parents of gifted children and increase co-operation of school and homes. 4.Support children’s ability to recognize their strengths and prevent underachievement. 5.Increase tolerance in schools towards gifted persons.

For education and learning Upper secondary school diplomas Guidelines and the instructions for the General Upper Secondary School Diploma are issued by The Finnish National Board of Education General upper secondary school diploma certificate is an additional proof of skills and an appendix to and complementing the upper secondary school leaving certificate Can be completed in 8 subjects: visual arts, physical education, theatre, dance, music, crafts, home economics, media Assessment is based on the objectives defined in the instructions Some educational institutions in Finland accept general upper secondary school diplomas as part of their entrance requirements

For education and learning Basic education in the arts Basic education in the arts provides children and young people with target-oriented, gradually progressing education in the different art forms and the abilities needed in expressing oneself and in applying for vocational and higher educational institutions. 465 institutions and students in 2008 The Finnish National Board of Education decides on the objectives and core contents of each art form (the national core curriculum).
