MARRIAGE: Divinely Instituted

GOD INSTITUTED MARRIAGE.  Union between a man and a woman.  Genesis 2:24  Matthew 19:4-5  I Corinthians 7:2

GOD CREATED MAN AND WOMAN FOR AN HONORABLE UNION.  Woman was made for man (Genesis 1:28; 2:18, 21-22; I Corinthians 11:9).  In the relationship of husband and wife (Genesis 2:24; I Corinthians 7:2).  Same sex unions are an abandonment of the natural use (Romans 1:26-27).

GOD STILL GOVERNS MARRIAGE.  Physical intimacy alone does not make a marriage (I Corinthians 7:2-4; Hebrews 13:4).  A lawful marriage requires a definite decision and honorably action (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Romans 7:2).  Lovers of themselves and pleasure seek carnal gratification (II Timothy 3:1-5; Colossians 3:5-6).
