English Learner Master Plan Riverside Unified School District Board Presentation November 2nd, 2015

Purpose of the EL Master Plan ensure that district and sites meet federal and state compliance requirements regarding English Learners serve as a guiding document for sites as they implement services for English Learners provide consistency and fidelity across sites

Major Changes to the EL Master Plan 1.Removal of Economic Impact Aid funding for ELs and the accompanying compliance requirements 2.Adoption of new ELA/ELD standards, and new terminology for ELD (Integrated/Designated ELD) 3.Discontinuation of CST, and adoption of temporary reclassification criteria until SBAC cut points are set by the California Department of Education
