Chula Vista Police Activities League 501c3

Food & Toy Drive  PAL was organized in 1992 to create and provide activities for all youth in our community.  PAL especially targets less fortunate and "at risk" youth  PAL is a community based non-profit organization operated from the Chula Vista Police Department

Food & Toy Drive  Each year PAL provides food & toys for over 300 families which includes toys for over 1200 children  Officers deliver the food & toys during the student’s Winter Break

Southwestern College Scholarship  PAL awards one scholarship to Southwestern College  We interview students who have struggled in high school but overcame obstacles  The scholarship covers tuition, books, supplies and any other fees associated with obtaining their degree

Other Services  This year PAL donated $500 to the Orange Crate Derby to sponsor kids who otherwise couldn’t afford to participate in this event

Other Services  Each year PAL presents 6 th grade student achievement awards. One student from each of the Chula Vista Elementary schools is chosen. Students are also given (2) tickets to Aquatica which are generously donated by Seaworld

San Diego VeloYouth  Last year PAL donated $5,000 to San Diego VeloYouth. VeloYouth is a 6 week program which introduces kids to the sport of cycling Kids have the opportunity to EARN their bike & equipment at the end of the program Students complete a minimum of 15 to 18 hours of training

CIVICS Bicycle Program  San Diego County Sherriff’s office donated 50 bikes to PAL  PAL will distribute those bicycles to needy families in Chula Vista

Fundraisers  Annual Chula Vista Fun Run (5K)  PAL hosts a Pancake Breakfast at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center to raise funds
