Workshop Floods and Economics Context –Belgian EU Presidency (ES – BE – HU) –Hosted by Flanders (VMM/MOW/CIW) Working title –Floods and Economics: appraising, prioritising and financing FRM measures Date and place –25 – 26 October 2010 in Ghent (Belgium) –back to back with 8th WG-F meeting on 27 October

Workshop Floods and Economics Scope –Economic aspects of the Floods Directive –Synergies with WFD Economics –Methods to assess the impact of floods on assets at risk (economic, social, environmental, cultural) –Methods to appraise and prioritise FRM measures –Financing FRM measures Output –Good practices document on floods and economics
