The Society of Women Engineers FY16 SWE Region J Mentoring Program Pratima Rao Region J Mentoring Chair

2 Goal Limited to Professional SWE Members in Region J => Plan primarily for virtual relationships Program launches after WE15 Sign-ups and Matching complete by end of November Official program runs December-June Mix of live sessions and offline resources provided during year Provide SWE members with support from fellow professionals on development areas such as career growth and personal choices as well as opportunities to become SWE leaders.

4 Mentor Responsibilities Agree to mentor Discuss and maintain expectations with mentee. Be supportive and engaged, sharing experiences and most of all, listen. Encourage application for SWE awards Encourage participation in the SWE organizations, whether as a committee member or leader or volunteer Time commitment: ~1-4 hrs/month
