STEP 1: Divide yourselves into groups of 4-5! AUTHOR: BOX at least 10 Honors English quality words and your SEMI- COLON sentence example.

STEP 2: Pass essay on to 1 st Reviewer Highlight the opening 5 words of each sentence. Write a comment on variety in sentence openings at end of essay.

STEP 3: Pass essay on to 2 nd Reviewer Count number of words in each sentence & pencil #s in the margins. Write a comment on variety in sentence length.

STEP 4: Pass essay on to 3 rd Reviewer Underline the verbs in each sentence. Write a comment on variety in verb use at end of essay.

STEP 5: Pass essay on to 4 th Reviewer Circle every comma. Put a question mark in the margin next to any that you think might not be used correctly.

STEP 6: Pass essay back to Author You are responsible for using Cntrl-F function to eliminate weak unnecessary use of… big/little good/bad kind of/sort of lots (a lot) thing really very There is/are just you
