The Wisdom of Each Other: Summit School Junior High Thoughts on Justice

The right to take a stand

Justice is a sacrifice you make for friends, family, people you care about.

When something good trumps something bad

Superheroes fighting crime. Making sure the bad guys are put in jail. Bringing forth a problem and solving it without being vengeful.

Fairness

The right to feel free

Just desserts

Justice is being fair and honest to the people who love you and the people who don ’ t.

Justice is fairness in superhero language.

To do the right thing and make sure others do the right thing, too

Being held accountable for our actions

Making a right out of a wrong

Being brave enough to stand up for someone that is being mistreated and having the power to forgive people

Equality

Justice is freedom and fairness. It is the right to both of these things.

Stating the truth

Justice means being punished when you do something bad.

Balancing the scales in life

Doing whatever is best, no matter what the consequences are

Justice is not revenge.

Finding good when times are bad

Justice brings peace to those who were wronged.

To bring good to yourself and your community and to do good to yourself and your community.

The law

Equal opportunity for everyone

Justice is helping out someone who is in need.

Being treated fairly and treating others fairly

Karma: What goes around comes around.

When laws are carried out and punishments are given

Good is being done to help the majority of the people

When the law is followed

Wrong doers get punished. Right doers get praised.

Things being fair for everyone — which I guess doesn ’ t happen very often, maybe never?

Justice is when the good person wins.

Doing the right thing when you are tempted to do the wrong thing

Correcting what is incorrect

Justice is about helping people without being told.

Doing what is right. I must do the right thing in order to be a good person — and to create a just world.

Justice is when right is brought to those who do wrong.

Justice is being good to all people. It ’ s telling the truth, especially being honest with yourself.

Listening to your conscience

Being a good citizen

Fair treatment of all people (whether I know them or not)

Justice is making what is wrong right.

Justice means doing the right thing for the right reason.
