Weather Reporter Training Pack Lesson 4

Weather Forecasting Training Course Welcome back – I hope you enjoyed last week, and have learnt a little more about the difference between high and low pressure, and what weather each brings to the UK. This week, we shall be focusing on presenting the weather. To be a good Weather Presenter, you need to know your where to place the correct weather symbol. It is also important to look at the viewers! Click on the Sun to learn more about the task this hour.

Topic 4 ~ Presenting the Weather Your fourth hour will develop your skill at presenting the weather. You will be using a web page that simulates the Weather Maps used on the TV. You will be given a Weather Summary Sheet by your instructor, and you need to present a report based on your summary. Stuck for ideas? – click on the sun!

Presenting the Weather ~ Some Help! Click here for the Weather Map web page. Using your Weather Summary Sheet, drag the correct weather symbols to the correct regions on the map. Practice saying the Weather Forecast to your partner. Print off the Weather Forecast web page. Once you are confident – you will have to do it for real in front of your fellow students! Once you have finished, click on the sun.

Finished? Check List Time! Your work this hour should include the following: –Completed a presentation of the weather, using the Interactive Whiteboard. –Have your performance videoed. –Revise for a short test next week.
